Yaaasss! Reveal time is here for the biggest project to date – a beautiful new build located on a piece of property that was featured in the Bible the other day. The clients are avid fisher people so being located in-between the good ol’ Bigwood River and a natural pond is what we call “location, location, location.” The vibe of the house feels open and airy, but with mountain modern touches and the layout is great for family gatherings. Basically, it just has a nice energy about it and it’s LEED certified so double win! And there’s a Dutch door……….!
I’m so happy with the results considering that like any undertaking, the project wasn’t without a few issues: namely a very sexist contractor from out of state who would only refer to me as “the designer girl”. He always had THE cleanest white T-shirts on – confirming his hands-off approach – and his penchant for smoking on the job while
working doing nothing was award winning. We no liked him so the clients replaced him with the amazing team of Micah & Levi Sali of 5B Home Service who swooped in to save us from total catastrophe.
Moving past that….the teamwork from there was so great! All the moving parts came together and I don’t know how to not sound cliche’ but the clients have become so dear to me. I laugh when I’m with them, our families love each other, and I will always appreciate the unwavering trust they put in me to ensure this project came through to the highest standards.
Let’s check out the entryway, kitchen, and living room!
Oh, hi reclaimed walnut barn door!
The light fixture is awesome!
A great place to call home indeed.
