Hi all! I know quarantine seems longer than your high-school boyfriend’s rat tail at a Bon Jovi concert, but I’m focusing on the positives – such as, my gas tank has been full for a month, every drawer in my house is cleaned and de-cluttered, and my cooking skills have gone from mediocre to a little better than mediocre!

NORTHRIDGE REMODEL PROJECT
AND we’ve all taken hand washing to a whole new level! That much one-on-one wash time has possibly left some of you wondering just what is the deal with sinks anyway. So, I thought I’d do a post and share a few of my go-to sinks for the bathroom and kitchen.
UNDERMOUNT SINK
Nothing beats a simple rectangle white undermount sink. Although they vary in sizing, I’ve found that a 12×18 interior sink dimension works well for most bathrooms. Also, if you don’t want to spend your days scouring water build-up, consider a sloped bottom rather than one with 90 degree corners.
great things about undermount sinks:
- The undermount feature makes cleaning countertops easy
- The transition from sink to countertop is seamless
- The style works for traditional and modern bathrooms

APRON SINK
Also called a farmhouse sink, an apron sink is different than a traditional sink in that the front part of the sink is exposed (like an apron). If you like the farm feel but want a contemporary edge, get an undermount farmhouse sink and consider yourself a straight-A graduate of sink school!

VESSEL SINK
Last but not least is the vessel sink. By definition, it sits on top of the countertop and is a great alternative if you are working with a shallow vanity depth. Normal countertop depth is around 21″ for a standard sink size, but you can install a vessel sink on a counter that is as shallow as 17″.
WARM SPRINGS NEW ADDITION
Twenty seconds, lots of soap, even more hand lotion, and a sink. Keep those near you and stay safe out there! XO
