Well hello! A while back, I shared a post about a boho teen bedroom makeover project that I had just put into the works. The hanging rattan chair idea never did come to fruition, but I’m happy to announce that the rest of the room came together in a very cool way, probably the coolest teen room in town.
Drawing inspiration from the client’s Pinterest page, I knew I needed a few key elements to achieve the laid-back vibe she was looking for: plants, great art, fuzzy things, and a heavy dose of hip. ( If you really think about it though, teenagers only need a phone and a poster of their latest musical crush to fawn over, but why stop there?)

After channeling my inner Cali, I came up with this design plan. A textural, warm, and very relaxed feeling bedroom.
BOHO BEDROOM NECESSITIES:
1. LEATHER POUF
2. CANOPY BED
3. ART
4. SUPER CUTE WHITE CHAIR – available through me
5. WOOL SHAG RUG
6. PLANTS OF ALL KINDS
7. BOHO PILLOWS – available through me
8. MACRAME WALL HANGING
9. NEON SIGNS. This was a tricky one because my client is a neon sign super fan, but whenever you get into customizing it gets expensive. My solution was to re-create the script in framed art form and who better to call on for the task but Julie McGregor, owner of the Social Company. The girl knows her way around a Cricut printer and after a few rounds of editing, we came up with these lovelies:
The room is complete and I’ll have the photos in hand next week. Until then, throw on your old Dead CD’s and feel the vibe.
cheers,
Heather
